Company accelerates momentum after impressive year of customer adoption, expansion, and industry recognition
NEW YORK (PRWEB) JANUARY 29, 2020
Axonius, the cybersecurity asset management company, cited massive global demand as the central driver for its record growth in 2019. The company saw a 910% increase in revenue growth amid expansion and adoption at organizations at both mid-market and enterprises worldwide. Aiding the company’s growth was a continued commitment to product innovation, strategic hires, and expanded investment.
Axonius reported new customer wins from leading global organizations in North America, Europe, and Latin America across a broad range of industries. From iconic enterprises like the New York Times, Schneider Electric, Thermo Fisher Scientific, First Data, and Anheuser-Busch InBev, to growing innovators like AppsFlyer, Twilio, Coupa, and Natera, customers of all sizes trust Axonius to see and secure their assets.
Since the launch of the Axonius Cybersecurity Asset Management Platform in 2018, Axonius has demonstrated a commitment to helping organizations get a comprehensive asset inventory, identify security solution coverage gaps, and automatically validate and enforce security policies. Now covering more than 10 million devices, the Axonius platform added 95 new adapters across 18 product releases in 2019 alone.
“In cybersecurity, it’s rare to actually solve a problem,” said Dean Sysman, CEO and Co-Founder of Axonius. “But asset management is a problem whose time has come, and we’ve been fortunate to work with some of the most impressive cybersecurity teams in the world to help them put an end to the manual work around assets so they can focus on high value security initiatives. We’ve built a formidable team here at Axonius, and we’re well-positioned to continue to provide extraordinary value to our customers as we scale globally.”
“I’ve rolled out countless security solutions in my career,” said Guy Flechter, CISO of AppsFlyer. “In many cases, you run into bugs, dependencies, and unforeseen issues that take months to get fixed, and IT teams struggle to find the exact locations of the gaps. The Axonius solution was dead simple to deploy, and I can’t say enough about the team and how quickly they responded to new feature requests or improvements.”
Additional company milestones in 2019 included:
- Expanded Investment – In February, Axonius raised a $13 million Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from YL Ventures, Vertex, WTI, and Emerge, followed by a $20 million Series B funding round led by OpenView just 6 months later in August.
- Industry Recognition – Throughout 2019, Axonius was recognized as both an industry leader and a company with a promising future. In March, Axonius was named “Most Innovative Startup” at the RSA Conference Innovation Sandbox and SC Magazine’s Rookie Security Company of the Year. In the second half of the year, Axonius was named one of the 20 Rising Stars as part of the Forbes Cloud 100 and was recognized in the 2019 CNBC Upstart 100 List. The company’s leadership team earned several accolades, and just this week, Chief Architect and Co-Founder Avidor Bartov was recognized in the Forbes 30 under 30 Israel 2020 list. CEO Dean Sysman made the list in 2017.
- Strategic Hires – Axonius appointed noted cybersecurity expert Lenny Zeltser to Chief Information Security Officer after serving as Vice President of Product, and the team grew to more than 70 employees, expanding its new headquarters to 330 Madison Avenue in New York City.
- Giving Back – Beyond its ongoing commitment to growth and innovation, Axonius has instilled the principle of giving back. Late in 2019, the company kicked off a partnership with the NBA superstar Steph Curry’s Eat. Learn. Play. foundation, a charity with a mission to ensure every child has access to three vital ingredients to a happy, healthy, and successful childhood: nutritious food, a quality education from early-childhood through college completion, and the opportunity to play and be physically active. Any security professional who requests a demo will have two donations made on their behalf: one to the Eat.Learn.Play foundation and another to a charity of their choice.
